Out of the Box

There are two things I like about Jack in the Box: their 2 Tacos for a dollar (I don't know what it is about these tacos... but I like 'em), and the fact that I can get hash brown sticks anytime I want.

One day I was in the drive-thru lane getting just that: 2 tacos and an order of hash brown sticks, when I saw an ad for Nacho Tacos (1.99 or something).

What the heck is that, and why the heck does it appeal to me so much?

Naturally, I ordered it (out of curiosity of course), and found something that... I'm not sure if I liked or didn't like. For now, I'll go with "like" (only because I was quite hungry at that time). So basically, their Nacho Tacos come in this little black plastic tray, a bed of shredded lettuce covering the bottom (a definite plus of the green addition to the cheesy fried mess), topped with two of their regular tacos (but only meat-filled) cut into little "nacho chip" sizes, with a whole lot of nacho cheese smothering the top. And a few jalapeno slices to garnish.

I think I would have liked some sour cream, tomatoes and onions to top it.
